Native seed, plants & land restoration
for South Texas.
We help ranchers, homeowners and communities grow resilient, water-wise landscapes with grasses, wildflowers and shrubs that belong here — sourced, grown and planted by people who live on this land.
Rooted in Karnes County, growing for the whole region
Nativa Fronteira — “native frontier” — started on a family ranch on State Highway 239 when owner Scott Walker set out to restore overgrazed pasture with the grasses his grandfather remembered.
Today we run a working native plant nursery, sell ecotype seed blends adapted to the South Texas Plains and Coastal Bend, and provide hands-on restoration, pasture renovation and pollinator habitat projects from San Antonio to the Gulf Coast.
- Locally adapted ecotype seed with full PLS test tags
- Licensed, insured crews and our own drill seeding equipment
- Written plans, transparent pricing, no pressure

Neighbors who trust us with their land
“Our north pasture was all bare ground and huisache. Two seasons after Scott's crew drilled the native mix, we're running cattle on little bluestem again.”Dale H.Cattle rancher, Karnes County
“They designed a pollinator garden for our front yard that barely needs water in July. Monarchs every fall now. Kind, punctual people.”Maria L.Homeowner, Floresville
“Clear quotes, correct seed tags and great follow-up on our wildlife management plan. Exactly what a landowner needs.”Robert & Ann K.Landowners, Goliad County
Plants that already know Texas
Native species evolved with our droughts, floods and clay soils. Their deep roots — some reaching more than ten feet — hold soil in place, help rain soak into the ground and keep growing when imported turfgrass gives up.
Up to 60% less water
Once established, most natives survive on rainfall alone.
Better forage
Native grasses provide nutritious grazing across more months.
Wildlife habitat
Cover and food for quail, deer, pollinators and songbirds.
Lower maintenance
Fewer fertilizers, pesticides and mowing hours.
